Pool remodeling and resurfacing in Temecula

Homeowners call about pool resurfacing in Temecula when the interior finish is worn, stained, or rough, or when they want a larger change than a new finish. A licensed pool builder can look at the pool and write a price. This site does not have a sourced Temecula price for resurfacing, so it does not publish one.

If you are pricing a new pool instead, use the inground pool page and the cost guide. Those figures are contractor estimates for new work.

Temecula requires a permit for pools, spas, and hot tubs. The city page does not say, in the notes we have, whether every resurfacing job needs its own permit. Ask the builder to confirm that with the city before work starts. The permit guide links the city page.

Murrieta's permit exemption is narrow: only a prefabricated pool under 24 inches deep, up to 5,000 gallons, installed entirely above ground. Resurfacing an inground pool is not that exemption. Details are on the Murrieta page.

In unincorporated French Valley, pool permits go through Riverside County. The county's barrier letter is about the barrier, not about plaster. If the remodel touches the barrier, ask the builder to price that against the county rules.

Whoever writes the contract should be someone you can look up. Use the license guide before you sign.
