Pool builders in Menifee
Menifee runs its own Building and Safety Department, separate from Temecula, Murrieta, and French Valley's county office.
What the City of Menifee requires
The City of Menifee Building & Safety Department publishes its own Guide for Pool and Spa Construction. Before the city will issue a permit, it asks for two stamped and signed engineered pool construction plans and three site plans drawn to scale, showing the pool and equipment location, the pool fencing location, type and height, and distances to property lines and existing structures. If the person applying is not the property owner or a California licensed contractor, the city requires a signed, notarized authorization letter naming who is applying on their behalf.
The city's requirements apply to every pool, hot tub, or spa permitted on or after April 6, 2006, and the permanent barrier has to be installed, inspected, and approved before the pool is plastered or filled with water. Inspections run in a set order: Pre-Gunite, Pre-Deck, Pre-Plaster, then Final. The Pre-Plaster inspection is specifically where the city checks that the perimeter fencing, gates, and any required alarms are in place and comply with both City of Menifee and California requirements.
This is Menifee's own process, not Temecula's or Riverside County's. See the pool fence requirements guide for the state barrier rule itself, and the cost guide for contractor cost estimates, since this site does not have a Menifee-specific price survey.
How it works
Send a request
Tell us the city, the address, and whether this is a new pool or work on one you already have.
Get connected
We take your request, confirm we may pass it on, and send it to one independent licensed pool builder who serves Temecula, Murrieta, and French Valley.
A visit and a written price
The builder looks at the lot or the pool and gives you their price in writing. That price is theirs, not ours.
You decide
You contract with the builder and pay the builder. Our referral is free, and you do not have to hire anyone.
Menifee pool questions
Does Menifee issue its own pool permit?
Yes. The City of Menifee Building and Safety Department runs its own process, separate from Temecula, Murrieta, and Riverside County's unincorporated offices.
When does the fence have to be done?
Before the pool is plastered or filled with water. Menifee checks the fencing, gates, and any required alarms at the Pre-Plaster inspection, one of four inspections the city requires in order.
Does a Temecula area cost estimate apply in Menifee?
The cost figures on this site are contractor estimates for the Temecula area and the Inland Empire, not a Menifee-specific survey. Ask the builder for a written price on your lot.
Talk with a licensed pool builder
Send a request with your address. We pass your request to a licensed pool builder who serves Temecula, Murrieta, and French Valley, if one is available. Say whether you want a new pool, a spa, or work on a pool you already have.
